SHOP back in action!

After a 6 month hibernation, my Etsy shop is operational once again. Right now the shop is featuring paintings, drawings and a few hand crafted items (stuffed animals and pins). I plan on making some more pins and jewelry related items once I get a few more paintings out of the way. Please head on over to the shop and check it out.

In other news, if you are finding yourself in San Francisco this Friday, head on over to the Medicine Agency Gallery to see new works by my friend, Serge Gay, Jr.

His new work will feature pieces that reflect him homeland(s) of Port-au-Prince, Haiti and Miami, Florida. Also, "proceeds from select works will be donated to World Vision and the victims of the Haiti earthquake."

Additional gallery information can be found here:

Opening Reception:
Friday Feb. 19th @ 8 pm

Gallery Address:
Medicine Agency Gallery, 1262 Mason Street (at Jackson)
San Francisco

Hope to see some of you there for good art and a great cause.

Digital Meets Traditional

I have 3 new pieces to share this week. I have decided to keep switching between digital and traditional - as I am starting to really like working digitally. Plus I have a lot of drawings laying around that are not ever going to be paintings, so they can go on as digital pieces.

"Right At The Top"
Illustrator

"Bogë"
Acrylic on Paper

"Nautical Nautilus"
Acrylic on Paper

That's it for new pieces, but I am working on 3 more small traditional pieces and a seemingly endless amount of digital pieces.

In other news (although not related to me), if you are finding yourself in the Bay Area this weekend, please come and check out Rob Sato's solo show at Giant Robot. He is a friend of a friend, and I had the chance to catch his last trio show at Giant Robot some time back and was impressed then. Just by the look of this single image flier for the new show, it looks like it is going to be amazing. His pieces are on the large side and remind me of Hieronymus Bosch in the way that there is so much going on, you'll find something new every time you look at the same piece.

The show opens this Saturday, the 13th of February from 6.30 - 10pm and runs until the 9th of March. Giant Robot's full gallery information and address can be found on the link I posted - hope to see some of you there.

First Show of 2010

I received some exciting news this morning - 5 of my pieces have been chosen for an upcoming group show, "Everything But the Kitsch 'N Sync" at La Luz De Jesus Gallery in L.A.

The show runs from March 5th through March 28th, with opening reception on Friday March 5th from 8-11pm.

I am still undecided as to whether or not I will be in attendance for the reception, BUT if YOU find yourself in the L.A. area while the show is up, make sure to stop in and check it out. La Luz is an awesome gallery/bookstore/art store/toy store and always has really great art.

For all gallery information visit La Luz's website - hope to make it to the show, and hope to see some familiar faces there.
